Sooner or later, every grower gets bugs. You can have a sealed tent, filtered air and a spotless routine, and they'll still find a way in. They come in on clones, on your clothes, from your pets, on the bag of soil that sat in the shed all winter. You can't stop them ever arriving, but you can decide whether they get a week to settle in or a month.

Before you touch a bottle of nutrient, your water has already made some decisions for you. Tap water varies a lot across New Zealand soft in parts of the South Island, moderately hard in parts of the North. Whatever's coming out of your tap is mixing with your carefully calibrated nutrients whether you account for it or not.

A 600 watt light isn't automatically better than a 400 watt light. Wattage measures how much power a light draws from the wall and it tells you nothing about what your plants actually use.

Temperature and humidity don’t work in isolation. They work together to create Vapor Pressure Deficit, which controls how your plants breathe, drink, and grow. Get it right and everything else gets easier.

Airflow and ventilation are not the same thing and confusing them can costs you yields.

People buy an extraction fan and oscillating fan then think they've sorted their air.

How to Set Up a Grow Tent Properly

A properly set up tent gives you a controlled environment. A poorly set up one gives you a variable you're managing for the entire grow, whether you notice it or not.
